N.A.H.F. Certified was established by fitness professionals, for fitness professionals. To be successful in anything, it starts with a solid foundation. Personal training is more than just lifting weights. There is a science to exercise. We believe all fitness professionals should have a college degree; but we know that is not an option for everybody. At N.A.H.F. Certified, we want our graduates to feel confident and ready to train their first client. That perfect client, with no limitations doesn't exist. Most clients will have some medical condition and/or limitation. Knowing how to work with these clients and handle various situations is our priority. Fitness professionals have to stay within their scope of practice and not engage in activities that could be harmful to the client or jeopardize the fitness professional's career and/or reputation. Being a health and fitness specialist is a very rewarding profession. Through continuing education (certifications or college) and practical experience, you will be on your way to a long and fulfilling career.
The N.A.H.F. Certified Personal Trainer Course will teach you all aspects of personal training and program design. Walking you through the initial assessment, conduct during a session, and follow-up after a session. These skills are pivotal to the success of a health and fitness specialist. Our goal is to make sure you can transition from a client that is an athlete to a senior without hesitation.
The N.A.H.F. Certified Post-Rehabilitation Trainer Course will provide you with the tools needed to work with clients transitioning from physical therapy to post-rehabilitation. It all starts with the post-rehabilitation instructions from the physical therapist or other healthcare professional. Knowing how to read, understand, and apply these instructions is key to your client's success and safety.
The N.A.H.F. Certified Wellness Trainer Course was developed to bridge gap between fitness and medicine. No matter the limitation, the client still wants to be the best they can be. Understanding medical conditions, common medical procedures, and medications is vital to client's exercise programming. This type of education is crucial to your success as a health and fitness specialist. Also, it may set you apart from other professionals and could lead to a greater demand for your expertise.
